The District
Leader Roundtable Meeting is a once a month forum were the volunteer unit leaders of all positions from the River Trails District
come and assemble for all of their Scouting needs. The District Leader Roundtable
provides an excellent forum for the volunteer unit leaders to obtain important information on all the issues.
The District
Leader Roundtable “Joint Session” portion of the meeting is a great
opportunity to catch all the latest announcements. You will learn about and obtain
materials on all yearly campaigns, promotions, district activities, council events, national programs and much more. In addition, this is a time and place to have all of your questions and concerns answered.
Another great
resource provided at the District Leader Roundtable is our “Break-Out Session”
portion of the meeting. The Break-Out Session portion is where the assembly of
to volunteer unit leaders split into two separate meetings forming the Boy Scout Break-Out
Session and the Cub Scout Break-Out Session.
The Break-Out
Sessions forum of the District Leader Roundtable is designed to provide supplemental training to the volunteer unit leaders
on program themes, Scouting advancement and topics of interest. Promotes leader
recognitions and awards, launches new ideas and rolls out new programs, and also provides insight on additional leader training. Last but not least, the volunteer unit leaders will leave the Break-Out Session with
the encouragement, enthusiasm, vision, desire and the know-how to provide an exciting quality unit program for your Scouts
for the next month.
The role of
the District Leader Roundtable is to educate and communicate with the volunteer unit leaders at the same time providing an
exciting, fast-moving, resourceful, positive, and informative program.
Attending
the District Leader Roundtable Meeting is the sole responsibility of the units. Attendance
is not mandatory but every unit should have at least one volunteer unit leader representative attend to assure that your unit
is and will continue to provide a Quality Scouting Program and Experience for your Scouts.
We have
a great Roundtable Staff ready to serve the volunteer unit leaders of the River Trails District and our goal is simple; too
provide a Roundtable Program that will help ensure the success of all of the units within the River Trails District.
Strengthen and Enhance Your Unit’s Program
ATTEND ROUNDTABLE – STAY INFORMED
Boy Scout Break-Out Session
- Do you want to generate more excitement at your troop meetings?
- Are you at a loss for some new troop activity ideas?
- Want to learn new inter-patrol games?
- Could you use some ideas for service projects?
- Or, would you like to network with other Scout leaders from within the
River Trails District to find out more about how other troops run their activities?
If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then the monthly Boy Scout Leader Roundtable
is for you! Learn the secrets to programs that the Scouts will love!
For just one hour a month, you will get enough ideas to fill the next several meetings. The Roundtables are a “hands-on” session for you to learn new activities that can be shared
with the Scouts. The sessions are coordinated with the Scouting Programs Guides
and modified in such a way that you can utilize and build upon the monthly themes.
